Anybody who consumes media paid for by advertising, not just Fox News, ought to watch this ten minute video.

Two conscientious reporters for Fox sued them and ultimately lost because the court found that, "it is not against the law to falsify the news". The reporters wanted to accurately report the effects on humans of injecting cows with hormones to increase milk production. Monsanto objected and a passel of other news corporations including Newsweek joined Fox in their defense. The video details the process by which the executives attempted to co-opt the reporters. It is reminiscent of the "plata o plomo" of the drug cartels and US foreign policy as described by John Perkins.
