Merchants of Doubt is all about Frederick Seitz. He took over from my father at the Richard Lounsbery Foundation and used its assets in order to travel to global warming conferences and fund climate deniers, especially S. Fred Singer. Why did Dr Seitz do that? To be sure, he enjoyed being in the spotlight into his 90's. It gave other thought leaders a reason to seek him out and discuss things that really matter.
